Competition:
The unique format is a Three-round elimination Bull Riding where we will take 25 Riders in the first round, the top 12 Riders in the Second round and the top 5 in the third and final round. This year, we will add a unique add-on to the event as we will have TWO Lammles x Lazy P Bounty Bulls.

Corin Raymond is a troubadour whose robust veracity appeals to older folks and children alike. Raymond’s songs are covered by Dustin Bentall, The Good Lovelies, The Strumbellas, The Harpoonist and the Axe Murderer, and a far flung community of roots musicians and enthusiasts. Raymond's latest album, Hobo Jungle Fever Dreams (released March 3rd, 2016) is "a hypnotic, literate collection of dark tall tales.... Romantic, immediate, and narcotic." (Acoustic Guitar). Aside from the hilarious triumph of funding his previous project, double-album Paper Nickels, with Canadian Tire money, Raymond enjoys a second career performing his non-musical, one-man shows Bookworm (2011) and The Great Canadian Tire Money Caper (2014), which he has toured extensively to over a dozen Fringe and literary festivals, and to theatres in three countries. "Raymond has impeccable timing, and his performance is at once intimate, openhearted, and evangelical." (The Georgia Straight on Bookworm) "Corin Raymond is a storyteller who by the end of the night you'll have known your whole life." (The Globe and Mail).
 
In 2007, Albertan songwriter Scott Cook quit his job teaching kindergarten in Taiwan and moved into a minivan. He’s made his living as a troubadour ever since, touring almost incessantly across Canada, the US, Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and elsewhere, averaging 150 shows and a dozen summer festivals a year, and releasing seven albums of plainspoken, keenly observant verse along the way. His latest collection Tangle of Souls comes packaged in a cloth-bound, 240-page hardcover book of road stories and ruminations, equal parts introspection and insurrection. The album spent two weeks at #1 on Alberta's province-wide community radio network CKUA, and earned Scott his third Canadian Folk Music Award nomination, for English Songwriter of the Year. Its second single "Say Can You See" was the second most-played song of 2020 on Folk Alliance International's folk radio charts, and took top honours for the folk category in both the 2020 UK Songwriting Competition and the 2020 Great American Song Contest. He’s been back on the road full-time since January of 2022, living in a campervan named Roadetta with his sweetheart Pamela Mae on upright bass and vocals, visiting 43 states and 8 Canadian provinces, and broadcasting solar-powered livestreams from the back of the van. In 2024 they're touring Australia and North America, and recording an eighth album for release in the fall.

Go beyond ghosts and hauntings and delve into the startling tales of murder, crime, and execution that occurred in Calgary’s early days and reflect on how these stories are important today on this outdoor walking tour.
Due to popular demand, we've added another time slot for this tour! Pick up your flashlights and hear terrifying tales of true crime once darkness falls on Calgary at 8:30-9:30 pm.
The tour will cover disturbing topics typical for true crime content and therefore is recommended for ages 16 and up.

About the cabooseA brightly painted caboose, topped by a little observation cupola, brought up the rear of every freight train. Each caboose was equipped with emergency flares, flags, signal lamps and spare equipment. As a home on wheels it was also furnished with an ice-box, water tank, table, chairs, benches, mattresses and a pot-bellied cast iron stove with bake oven and ubiquitous coffee pot.
This wooden caboose was built in 1912 by the Canadian Pacific Railway at Angus Shops in Montreal. During the 1990s cabooses were retired from North American railways and replaced with electronic end-of-train units.

When Ralph O’Brien double-booked then-solo performers Chris Andrews and Mark Hiscock at Erin’s Pub one fall evening in 1994, to rectify the situation, he suggested the two perform together. It turned out to be the right decision, as the veteran traditional musician helped bring together the duo that would become the nucleus of Shanneyganock.
In 2021, the band that Chris Andrews and Mark Hiscock started when they were young lads celebrated their “25th Anniversary”. A silver anniversary is rare in a business where most bands burn out from touring, fall apart, or simply get tired of the rock and roll life.Not these guys. After more than two decades of bringing music from Newfoundland and Labrador to the world, Andrews and Hiscock are still passionate about Shanneyganock— and still love the sound of a roaring crowd. Together, Hiscock — with his high-tone softer voice and impressive accordion playing skills — and Andrews — with his powerful soulful voice — and a talented rhythm section have wowed fans around the world with their upbeat and catchy traditional tunes that prompt all ages to hit the dance floor. The band — which now includes Ian Chipman, Craig Young and drummer Brad Tuck — have entertained audiences across Canada, the United States, Europe, the Middle East and even the North Pole where they performed for the Canadian Troops. A few of their recent road adventures and highlights have included playing at an international festival in Qatar and playing on Broadway in New York at the premiere of "Come From Away”, and at the 2022 Niagara Falls Canada Games. It was Shanneyganock’s music that set the backdrop and was the inspiration for the Tony-nominated score “Come From Away”.
Shanneyganock are a Newfoundland phenomenon. From headlining at major festivals, to performing to sold-out audiences at the annual George Street Festival, Iceberg Alley or selling out shows across the province, the group has built a phenomenal fan base and loyal following traveling around the world promoting and preserving the culture, music and songs of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Well-known for their authentic brand of Newfoundland folk music and their rollicking high-energy live show, Shanneyganock are true Newfoundland ambassadors who continue to perform sold-out shows inspiring and entertaining audiences of all ages keeping traditional Newfoundland music alive from generation to generation to generation. The Shanneyganock storybook of songs is a genuine reflection of the rich musical culture and history of Newfoundland that will live on for years to come. Their musical collaboration with the legendary Bud Davidge of Simani on “Music & Friends” celebrates one of the most quintessential, fun, moving and heartwarming songs in theIsland’s history.
The group has released 14 recordings with sales in excess of 150,000 copies and their music has been featured on hundreds of compilation recordings. Their achievements have been recognized with numerous ECMA and Music NL awards and nominations, and they have garnered a solid online fanbase with over 4 million views of their video releases and performances.
In recognition of their outstanding musical contribution to the Atlantic Canadian music industry and the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Shanneyganock were awarded the prestigious 2020 East Coast Music Association Dr. Helen Creighton Lifetime Achievement Award.
