Under the Rocks is one of Canada’s premier emerging bluegrass acts. This heartfelt, talented bluegrass quartet that blends uplifting energy with a reflective reverence for the difficulties of reality that marries joy and sorrow and declares “YES”. Yes to all that it means to be alive on this planet, here and now.  

Hailing from Kelowna, Canada, Under the Rocks has emerged from a city with no other bluegrass acts to become one of Canada’s premier bluegrass bands. Featuring acoustic guitar (Jordan Klassen), fiddle (Chloe Davidson), banjo and mandolin (Chris Baxter), and upright bass (Nils Loewen) the band makes a big sound that tips its cap to tradition while incorporating singer-songwriter music intentionally put together with clever, inventive song arrangements, emotive instrumental breaks and powerful vocal harmony. This class is an introduction to the encaustics medium.
Encaustic artist, Erinn Evans, will guide you through the basics of painting with encaustics. You will learn several techniques for creating pattern and texture. By the end of your class, you will go home with your very own encaustic painting. All materials supplied.

Artist Bio:
Erinn Evans is an encaustics artist working out of her home studio in Sherwood Park, Alberta, who has been working in the encaustics medium for the past five years. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a minor in Art. Erinn is a Signature member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, as well as the International Encaustic Artists. She draws inspiration from animals and nature to create colourful paintings featuring patterns, depth, and texture. She has previously taught for the Leduc Arts Foundry and has consistently received great reviews from her encaustics students at the Artelier.

**PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BELOW**
**ONLY ONE TICKET PURCHASE PER TEAM IS REQUIRED**
**ONE TICKET- TWO PEOPLE**
Pong Fest is a 200-team Cup Pong tournament (400 people) that will be hosted by The Uno Club, Towers, Shiddy’s Distilling and more to be announced. The tournament will be held at Towers Pub at MacEwan University and will extend into the cafeteria on April 4th, 2025. Details are listed below:

$10 Entry Fee PER TEAM, 2 players needed Per Team. No refunds will be provided for any reason. 
When registering, teams get to select what time they play their 3 Round Robin games. TWO timeslots are available (60 teams max per time slot):
#1-> 4pm-5pm
#2-> 5pm-6pm
#3-> 6pm-7pm
For your chosen time slot, your team must be available the full hour time slot you select and will play three games against three different teams. You must be at towers and checked in by 10 minutes after the start of your timeslot AT THE LATEST. A sheet with pre-determined, in-game rules, will be available at each table. You must not start the game until that round has started. Scores from these games will then be reported to our scorekeepers and these scores will then decide which teams advance to the 64 team bracket!
 
**IMPORTANT READ BELOW**
ALL TEAMS MUST BE AVAILABLE FROM 7 PM-9 PM as well as their time slot
At 6 pm, once all teams have played 3 rounds in the round-robin portion of the tournament, scores will be calculated, and the top 64 teams of the Round Robin will be notified via email and will qualify to be entered into an elimination bracket that will start at 7:15 pm. Failure to show up for a scheduled game will result in an automatic loss for that team.
The bracket will be emailed to teams that qualify.
The bracket will continue to go with teams reporting who won to the designated scorekeepers.
The bracket will be a single elimination until the semi-finals.
The two losing teams in the semi-final round will play for third place.
Players are highly encouraged to stay at Towers between rounds and games. Even if you don't make the elimination bracket, stick around and keep the party going! Uno decks will be made available at the participant's convenience. 
New emails will be sent out after each round of the bracket has been played so teams know which tables they are playing at. This will continue until the first-place match-up.

The Alberta Pharmacy Students' Association is excited to be hosting another year of the highly anticipated Blue & Gold Gala! Join us for an evening of glamour as we unite four years of pharmacy cohorts and faculty members in celebrating a successful academic year. Blue & Gold features an Awards Ceremony to honour individuals for their outstanding involvement in the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and the pharmacy profession.
We hope to see you on Saturday, April 5th, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 1:30 am! Doors open at 5:00 pm with the Awards Ceremony beginning at 6:00 pm, followed by dinner! 
The event is formal, so come dressed in your best! The theme this year is A Night in the Enchanted Garden.
