Car Flex Pass - One carload, one price, “flexible” day admission. A Car (up to 8-person capacity) FLEX Pass can be used at your discretion on a single event date of your choice during the Magic of Lights event.
Car Dash Pass - Skip the line! For only a few dollars more per vehicle, the Dash Pass allows you to bypass traffic and enter through the special Dash Pass lane.
Limo Dash Pass - Bypass the traffic and use the special Dash Pass Lane with the Limo Dash Pass. Load up your limo (9-16 passengers). Please note: Limos are not provided by the facility; guests must arrange their own transportation.
Bus Dash Pass - Ideal for large groups! The Bus Dash Pass allows vehicles holding 17+ passengers to skip the line using the special Dash Pass lane. Please note: Buses are not provided by the facility; guests must arrange their own transportation.

LPAC welcomes Say It Ain't So Theatre, presenting Carla Falk and Derek Olinek in "On A First Name Basis" for three nights in the SHUNDA Theatre!
Say It Ain’t So Theatre is proud to bring you this heartwarming and funny play written by Canada’s premiere playwright, Norm Foster.  A story about a successful, but reclusive spy novelist who discovers he knows nothing about his maid of 28 years.  She, however, knows everything about him.  This is a love story, social commentary, and a mystery wrapped in witty dialogue and vivid imagery. 

David, a successful novelist with writer's block, has received some devastating news he's kept to himself. Lucy, his housekeeper of twenty-eight years, has her own secret that she's afraid to admit. As Lucy is getting ready to end her shift, David invites her to stay and have a drink, curious about the woman who's been tending to his house all these years. But as the night sets in and the drinks start to flow, secrets reveal themselves, for better or worse.
Say It Ain’t So Theatre began in Edmonton in the 1990s.  One of the founding members, Carla Falk, brought the company to Red Deer in the early 2010s and, along with actors Fred Andersen and Tim Newcomb staged many successful productions of A Bench in the Sun throughout Central Alberta by catering to, and performing, primarily in rural community halls.  After taking a hiatus, Say It Ain’t So is proud to be relaunching with On A First Name Basis.

Carla FalkTheatre has been part of Carla’s life since she was a teenager.  She has appeared on stage in numerous productions for Central Alberta Theatre, Ignition Theatre, and Say It Ain’t So Theatre.  Acting credits away from the stage include commercials, series tv, and independent films.  As artistic director, Carla is pleased to be relaunching Say It Ain’t So Theatre with this fantastic Norm Foster play, On A First Name Basis.
Derek OlinekDerek has had roles in commercials and movies, but most of his acting credits over the last 32 years have been live theatre.  He has appeared on stage with Central Alberta Theatre, Ignition Theatre, Prime Stock, Theatre, and RD Players Breaking Cover series.  He is thrilled to be joining Say It Ain’t So Theatre’s production of Norm Foster’s hilarious and touching On A First Name Basis.

The Arrogant Worms have spent over three decades making fun of a big dumb world. Their songs have been played on the radio, the internet, and in outer space (on the space shuttle Endeavour). The Worms began at Queen’s University in 1991 when some members of the student cabaret group, The Queen’s Players, started writing songs and sketches for the campus radio station CFRC. Soon the group became The Arrogant Worms (Chris Patterson, Mike McCormick, and Trevor Strong) who have since toured ceaselessly across Canada (and select other parts of the world), released 13 albums, and recorded with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. Their song, The Last Saskatchewan Pirate, has been covered by bands such as Captain Tractor and The Longest Johns, and their Happy Happy birthday song is a viral sensation with over one hundred million views of the various fan videos on YouTube. More than thirty years after they began, The Arrogant Worms continue to provide tuneful and silly escapism for everyone who needs it.

Fran has worked an eclectic mix of jobs including youth worker, career counsellor, proposal writer, and a ten-year stint as VP for a career consulting firm. Her short stories have appeared in literary journals from coast to coast, and her plays have been produced for both theatre and radio. Fran has published two novels. The Shore Girl landed on the CBC Top 40-Book List and won the Alberta Reader’s Choice Award. No Good Asking, shortlisted for the 2019 Georges Bugnet and ReLit Awards, has been translated for international markets. Fran’s third novel will hit bookshelves in the spring of 2025.

I have always been an artist, from my youngest days to my current life. I now focus on making lampwork beads, jewelry from the beads and painting. I paint in watercolour, acrylics and mixed media. I also love to teach, what is better than sharing your passion and getting others to enjoy creating art and appreciating the arts.
My work celebrates colour and patterns found in the world around me. I am often inspired by my travels both close to home and around the world.

An exciting form of racing that creates a unique community, where racers and their friends, families and fans enjoy a weekend at the track and a chance to get out with others with a passion for racing. But it also means some highly competitive Drag Racing. Fans can see dragsters, cars, trucks, and Junior Dragsters, all of which are competing for prize money and the all-important series points that go toward series championships at the end of the season.
The Bracket Drag Series combined with the NHRA Division 6 regional competition is the weekly series where local sportsman racers vie for year end points championship. Electronics, Non-electronics, Top Eliminator, Cash is King 1/8 Mile, Street Sportsman and Jr. Dragster

Under the Rocks is one of Canada’s premier emerging bluegrass acts. This heartfelt, talented bluegrass quartet that blends uplifting energy with a reflective reverence for the difficulties of reality that marries joy and sorrow and declares “YES”. Yes to all that it means to be alive on this planet, here and now.  

Hailing from Kelowna, Canada, Under the Rocks has emerged from a city with no other bluegrass acts to become one of Canada’s premier bluegrass bands. Featuring acoustic guitar (Jordan Klassen), fiddle (Chloe Davidson), banjo and mandolin (Chris Baxter), and upright bass (Nils Loewen) the band makes a big sound that tips its cap to tradition while incorporating singer-songwriter music intentionally put together with clever, inventive song arrangements, emotive instrumental breaks and powerful vocal harmony. Their shows commonly feature dancing, laughter, joyful hoots and hollers and serene moments accompanied by tears and tranquil sighs of release or appreciation.

As the Prairie Sons, cellist David Liam Roberts and pianist Godwin Friesen embody the expansive, nuanced perspective of their home landscape in their concert program. The two award-winning musicians met at the Royal Conservatory’s Glenn Gould School of Music, and recognized a kindred spirit in each other. Both hail from the Prairies, began performing alongside other members of their families, and have been named to CBC’s list of Hot 30 Classical Musicians Under 30.

You know the story, you know the rhymes. You've seen the tale a million times. But here's the twist that no one will know... there's a different villain in every show!
The Blank is back! Rapid Fire Theatre's annual holiday tradition returns to the stage in December 2024. THE BLANK WHO STOLE CHRISTMAS is a somewhat-familiar but always original improvised take on the holiday classic by a similar name.
In this original Christmas musical, a cast of performers have memorized all their lines and rehearsed all their choreography, just to have it all ruined at a moment's notice. In each performance of THE BLANK the main character is played by a different guest improviser playing a character of their choice. The main character hasn't rehearsed with the rest of the cast and doesn't know any of their lines. The cast doesn't know who is crashing their performance until the moment it happens live on stage!

Sweet Escape Dance is an adult heels performance training program for dancers of all abilities in Edmonton. Our training program culminates in an end of season showcase for friends and family members of the dancers. The theme for our Season 2 showcase is Strangers to Lovers to Enemies. This theme takes us through the emotional rollercoaster of love, from meeting for the first time and feeling your first butterflies, to falling head over heels, to the anger and sadness that comes when the relationship has reached its end. Our dancers will be taking the audience through the full lifecycle of a relationship along with all of the emotions it evokes.Age Rating: 18+

Join Edmonton's favourite musical comedy duo, Success 5000, as they celebrate the release of their new album, Sad Forever! Their original album release show was cancelled back in March due to the UNEXPECTED PREMATURE BIRTH OF ROBYN'S SON (don't worry, everything's fine now). On Sunday, November 24th they'll FINALLY take the stage at the Grindstone Comedy Theatre, complete with a full backing band, special guests, and all sorts of other surprises! Also featuring sketch comedy by Paul Blinov, Nathalie Feehan and Chrissy DeWitt!
Success 5000 is an Edmonton-based duo specializing in musical comedy. They have toured the country, performed on CBC's The Irrelevant Show, and been featured in comedy festivals such as Vancouver Sketchfest, Toronto Sketchfest, Philly Sketchfest, Seattle Sketchfest, Comedy Country, Sled Island, and Improvaganza. Their songs blend absurd humour with biting cynicism, and reviews have praised their show for its “self-depreciating, nihilistic, and sarcastic humour that's both current and genuinely hilarious.”  
This show is recommended for audiences aged 13+
