Olsen broke into the upperechelons of Nashville‘s songwriter community with accolades that include two #1 hits in the USwith his Grammy-nominated, double-platinum certified song ‘Blue Ain‘t Your Color,‘ performedby Keith Urban, and ‘More Girls Like You‘ performed by Kip Moore. In 2019, Olsen‘s passion for writing and producing music pushed him to take the stage himself. As a solo artist, he has continued to make his mark with multiple Top-10 singles, extensive touring, and also made his Grand Ole Opry debut.

On Saturday June 7th Ottawa native Brian Patafie will be coming to Shoeless Joes in Bellville with his FUNNY AS PUCK show 2025. Just four years ago Brian finished a forty four year career as an athletic trainer in professional hockey including almost twenty years with the Calgary Flames. He also spent two years in Frankfurt Germany with the Lowen Frankfurt (Frankfurt Lions). Brian kept notes and following his hockey career he turned those notes into a standup comedy routine and has shared not only his hockey stories but his dysfunctional life stories all across North America as well as on a multi city multi show tour of the United Kingdom back in October of 2022. Brian was asked by Ken Reid on Sportsnet why he left the Flames back in 1999 and Brian's trademark reply was "medical reasons....management got sick of me!" Brian will be joined by Ottawa comedians Chris Connolly and Chad Noonan. Don't miss the opportunity to see one of the most charismatic and entertaining figures from the world of professional hockey share his life on stage.

Mark your calendars for the 21st running of The County Marathon, also known as The Prince Edward County Marathon, taking place on Sunday, September 29, 2024!
Now under the experienced leadership of Race Director Brian McLean, this event offers a Marathon, Half Marathon, and an Ultra 50K, providing a challenge for runners of all levels.
The Marathon and Half Marathon courses are Athletic Canada Certified Courses (ACCC), making them accurate qualifiers for world-wide marathons, including the renowned Boston Marathon. Imagine the thrill of qualifying while racing through the breathtaking scenery of Prince Edward County!
Since 2003, The County Marathon has been an annual tradition, even offering a virtual alternative during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Marathon route starts in Wellington, passes through Bloomfield, and finishes in Picton, Ontario. The Half Marathon begins just outside the famous Sandbanks Provincial Park and also ends in Picton. These towns have graciously hosted and supported this scenic race, embodying the "County Way."
Participants will experience pristine waterline views, rolling hillsides, farmlands, and historic sites, all while breathing in the crisp, clean air of Prince Edward County. This fast, flat, and scenic route is perfect for achieving personal bests and qualifying for the Boston Marathon.
Enjoy the added benefit of exploring local tourist attractions and events during the marathon weekend. Stay tuned for updates on additional County events. With plenty of water and aid stations along the way, you'll stay hydrated and motivated while taking in the stunning views.

RACE WEEKEND
📌 Race Kit Pick Up is Saturday September 28th from 10 AM - 6 PM
📌 LOCATION: Prince Edward County Community Centre in Picton. You may have someone pick up your race kit for you, however it is then their responsibility to ensure you receive your tagged bib and race kit. Should you choose this option we are not responsible for you getting to the start line on time.
The County Marathon finishes at our original line (unless road closures dictate an alternate site) in front of the Prince Edward County Fairgrounds located in Picton. Please see the maps on our website for details as we approach the event.
START LINES:
📌 ALL buses on race day will depart from Picton at the Community Centre Parking lot as they have in previous years.
📌 The Full Marathon and Ultra 50 KM start line is located in Wellington at the Lehigh Centre, a warm facility complete with washrooms, an indoor running track, fresh coffee, and water, as well as bag drop-off.
📌 The Half Marathon start line is located in West Lake at the West Lake Community Church (corner of County Road 10 and 18), complete with washrooms, a tent, and fresh coffee, bananas, water, and fresh homemade muffins provided by the congregation - donations to them are welcomed!. We also have a bag drop-off where you will then find your items at the finish line.
FREE Shuttle service to your start line is provided for every participant and will depart from The Prince Edward County Community Centre parking lot area race morning.
