CNPL Draft RegistrationIn an effort to enhance the inclusivity of our league, CNPL has decoupled pre-season event registration from draft registration. This means that individuals who may not be interested in pursuing a professional career immediately, or at all, can still participate in the thrilling competitive atmosphere of the CNPL’s team amateur events. This new structure allows for broader participation, giving more people the chance to experience the joy of competitive pickleball.
To be eligible for the CNPLIII draft you must 1) fill out the registration details, 2) pay the administrative fee, and 3) join or build a team and participate in one of the CNPL Amateur Showdown events.
Two registration types

New players are those who have never before registered for or participated in the CNPL.
Returning players are those who registered for the draft and participated in a qualifier in 2023 or 2024. They receive a discount because they are already setup across our systems and require less administrative work.

Am I lost?This "event" is for professional and aspiring professional pickleball players to register for the 2025 CNPL Draft. If you are looking to participate in a CNPL Amateur Showdown go HERE.

Come watch top badminton players compete in the YONEX Canada Open 2025, taking place at the Markham Pan Am Centre from July 1 to 6! This program provides access to all event sessions including the Quarterfinals (July 4), Semi-finals (July 5) and Championship Sunday (July 6).
Until the end of April 15, 2025, this will be the lowest priced event package available. Every purchase of an event package will include entry to win some authentic Badminton Canada memorabilia from past events. After April 15, the price goes up!!!

These tickets are a one-time-use only, and must be presented at the field entrance in a visible format for scanning. (printed is best)
Limited parking is available and free on the grounds, but if you live locally, walking to the grounds is encouraged!

Dar Williams was always in the right place at the right time for the success she’s had over a 25+ year career. She rose out of the vibrant mid-90s Boston scene, inspired by the eclectic influences of alt-rockers, Berklee jazz musicians, slam poets and folk artists like Patty Griffith, Melissa Ferrick, the Throwing Muses, Vance Gilbert and Jonatha Brooke. After a year of touring non-stop with her first album, The Honesty Room, in 1994, she was invited by Joan Baez to tour in Europe and The United States. Step behind the yellow police line and uncover the secrets of real-life crime scene investigations with Detective Ed Adach, a 43-year veteran of the Toronto Police Service and an expert in forensic footwear evidence. In this captivating talk, Detective Adach will share his experiences from the streets of Toronto to war crime investigations in Kosovo and forensic teaching in Afghanistan. Discover how seemingly overlooked evidence, such as footwear impressions, has played a crucial role in solving homicide cases. Please Note: Detective Adach will be discussing real homicide cases. Viewer discretion is advised. 
ABOUT ED ADACHDetective Ed Adach has been a Toronto police officer for 43 years, including 33 years in the forensic unit. As a recognized expert in footwear impression evidence, he has testified in court 24 times, investigated war crimes in Kosovo for the United Nations, and taught forensics in Afghanistan. Detective Adach has published extensively in forensic journals and presented his work internationally, earning a reputation as one of Canada’s top authorities in his field.
A portion of the funds related to this event will be donated to Innocence Canada. Innocence Canada’s mission is to identify, advocate for, and support the exoneration of individuals who have been convicted of a crime they did not commit and to prevent wrongful convictions through legal education, advocacy, and justice reform.

Fender Bassfest is back and celebrating the 65th birthday of the iconic and game changing Fender Jazz electric bass. Made famous in the hands of everyone from Jaco Pastorius to James Jamerson to Geddy Lee, a great collection of bassists will celebrate the instrument that changed music!  Come out for great music and two nights of Fender giveaways and prizes!
BASSFEST features some of Toronto's finest bassists including Daniel Fortin, Waleed Abdulhamid, Tyler Emond, Anna Ruddick, Marc Decho, Peter Cardinali  and Roberto Occhipinti.
 
Fender's iconic Jazz Bass changed the sound of popular music from funk to rock to reggae to jazz and beyond, and has defined the sound of bands such as Sly and The Family Stone, The Police, Rush, James Brown, The Who, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jimi Hendrix, Sly and Robbie, U2, Prince, Miles Davis, Earth Wind and Fire, Weather Report, and Led Zeppelin.

We truly have something weird for everyone at our shows. All items you see at our shows are legal to own and sustainably sourced. Outside of our curated vendors, we host sideshow performers on stage all throughout the day and the opportunity to learn the craft of taxidermy with classes available during the expo. Class Description:
Unleash your creativity and curiosity in our Introductory Taxidermy Class hosted by The Sleeping Sirens! Designed for beginners, this hands-on course offers a fascinating glimpse into the art and science of taxidermy. 
What to Expect:
Class begins promptly at 10am and ends at 4pm. 
We provide each student with either a skinned, cleaned, and tanned racoon or rabbit hide depending on the workshop you are taking. 
The first half of class is focused on preparing your form, setting the eyes, test fitting and mounting the hide, as well as grooming. 
After our first 30-minute break class shifts towards base preparation and mounting your project. 
The class runs for approximately 6 hours with two 30-minute breaks throughout the day.

This hands-on experience is perfect for nature enthusiasts, aspiring entomologists, or anyone interested in the intricate craft of insect preservation. Join us as we guide you through the techniques of preparing and pinning insects, transforming them into beautiful, display-ready specimens.
What to Expect:
This workshop has both AM and PM availability, so it is of the utmost importance that you verify the correct date and time of your specific class. 
The AM class will begin promptly at 10am while the PM class will begin promptly at 1:30pm.
You will learn the foundational skills of bug pinning, including safe collection methods, proper handling, and the step-by-step process of pinning and mounting insects.
We will familiarize ourselves with the tools of the trade, pinning supplies, insect boxes, and preservation techniques. We’ll provide all necessary materials for your workshop experience.
