Class Description:
Unleash your creativity and curiosity in our Introductory Taxidermy Class hosted by The Sleeping Sirens! Designed for beginners, this hands-on course offers a fascinating glimpse into the art and science of taxidermy. 
What to Expect:
Class begins promptly at 10am and ends at 4pm. 
We provide each student with either a skinned, cleaned, and tanned racoon or rabbit hide depending on the workshop you are taking. 
The first half of class is focused on preparing your form, setting the eyes, test fitting and mounting the hide, as well as grooming. 
After our first 30-minute break class shifts towards base preparation and mounting your project. 
The class runs for approximately 6 hours with two 30-minute breaks throughout the day.

CNPL Draft RegistrationIn an effort to enhance the inclusivity of our league, CNPL has decoupled pre-season event registration from draft registration. This means that individuals who may not be interested in pursuing a professional career immediately, or at all, can still participate in the thrilling competitive atmosphere of the CNPL’s team amateur events. This new structure allows for broader participation, giving more people the chance to experience the joy of competitive pickleball.
To be eligible for the CNPLIII draft you must 1) fill out the registration details, 2) pay the administrative fee, and 3) join or build a team and participate in one of the CNPL Amateur Showdown events.
Two registration types

New players are those who have never before registered for or participated in the CNPL.
Returning players are those who registered for the draft and participated in a qualifier in 2023 or 2024. They receive a discount because they are already setup across our systems and require less administrative work.

Am I lost?This "event" is for professional and aspiring professional pickleball players to register for the 2025 CNPL Draft. If you are looking to participate in a CNPL Amateur Showdown go HERE.

Synopsis

Paul Quarrington was a prolific musician and songwriter as well as one of Canada’s most beloved writers. One of his novels, Whale Music, was called “the greatest rock’n’roll novel ever written.” This event is presented by his closest musical associates on the 15th anniversary of Paul’s passing on January 21, 2010, aged 56.
Stuart Laughton’s RADIO DIAL features Martin Worthy (Paul’s long-time song-writing partner), vocalist Rebecca Campbell (both were both members, with Paul and Stuart, of the blues-rock band Porkbelly Futures), Burke Carroll, Steve Lucas and Megan Worthy. Guests will contribute music and reminiscences to celebrate this portrait of an extraordinary artist who is sorely missed. Tuesday January 21.

A world premiere production from Bad New Days created and directed by Adam Paolozza imagines a future where we find alternative ways to reconnect with and remember nature.
In a sometime somewhere devoid of nature, posthuman ‘workers’ enter an empty space and assemble a series of artificial landscapes out of found objects, striving with their bodies to recreate the natural world from memory. But is it the deep past we see, or some genetically modified future? 
Last Landscape blends Bad New Days’ signature brand of physical theatre with an eco-dramaturgical, DIY aesthetic to create a slowly transforming, imagistic meditation on extinction, ecological grief, and interspecies care, where colossal puppets of prehistoric megafauna roam free. On the brink of environmental collapse, the production offers hopeful possibilities for how we all might share this big green miraclemarble.

Located in Toronto, the Bata Shoe Museum (BSM) regularly displays over a thousand shoes and related artefacts, chosen from a collection of almost 14,000 objects, in architect Raymond Moriyama’s iconic, award-winning building. The BSM celebrates the style, development and function of footwear across four impressive galleries, with displays ranging from Chinese bound-foot shoes and ancient Egyptian sandals to chestnut-crushing clogs and glamorous platforms.

The long awaited release of Chloe Watkinson's album "skin writer", which will be available on vinyl record, and digitally. Chloe brings her band to Tallulah's Cabaret at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, bringing you original tunes with a spark of a story told. Chloe's songs fuse pop, soul, rock, and jazz, seamlessly using experience from their many years in the music business, and what her parents instilled in them.
Featuring Neil Hendry, Jessica Stuart, Jody Brumell, Mip, Emma Hewson, Gail Roberts, Briana Anderton, and Zoe Ëoz. Featuring interludes with original songs by Jessica Stuart and Mip.
The album will be available at the show, along with other CDs, and merch. Chloe will be signing records and taking photos at the Merch stand at the end of the show.
