On Thursday March 20th come out to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day, have some fun, lots of laughs, listen to some great tunes, have the opportunity to win prizes, win some money with 50/50 tickets, and eat some awesome food, all while supporting GVDSS!
We are raising money to provide funding for direct therapy services for individuals with Down syndrome – specifically our Hang 21 surfing event held in Tofino.

Get ready for some Sapphic magic, Victoria's all-Sapphic burlesque show is back for round three!
A celebration of queer art and artists, join us for a night of all things sultry, sensual and Sapphic. From the classy to the spicy and everything in between, be ready to get up close and personal at this fabulous floor show.
The show will take place Mach 27 at The Vicious Poodle, doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm. Discounted Early Bird tickets will on sale until March 11, and general admission tickets go on sale March 12.
The show will run approximately two hours, with nine acts including a tip number, and a 15 minute intermission.
 
Sappho's Isle is the flagship of Ink Splatters Productions, a queer-focused production company started by Missy Ink.
This show will take place on the unceded and unsurrendered lands of the Lkwungen-speaking people of the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations. These Indigenous peoples have been on this land since time immemorial and are still here today. Most of us are uninvited guests here on this land and it is a great privilege we have to be able to create here.
Ink Splatters strives to be a safe and inclusive space for all people and to produce shows that are representative of the beautiful diversity in our community. We committed to creating a sex positive, anti-racist, queer-friendly, body positive and accessible environment at my shows. Performers and audience members will also be held to these standards so that anyone can come into this space and enjoy the art that is being put on stage.

The Joy of Life concerts take place on Friday, April 25, and Saturday, April 26, at 7:30 PM. This year’s performers include the young fiddlers of the BC Fiddle Orchestra and the Old-Time Danceband, joined by alumni from the past 31 years. Adding to the toe-tapping excitement will be members of Folkestra! and the Joy of Life Choir, backed by the mighty Joy of Life House Band of renowned local musicians. 
Topped off with performances by Daniel’s special guests, these concerts inspire all ages, celebrating life as it blossoms in spring across the nation and resonates at home in Victoria through the wonderful power of live Canadian music.

Dockside is a co-op mission to write some of the coolest songs you’ve ever heard. Grounded in our garage band roots, Andres Nimegeers, Ben Cripps, Matt Seale, and Tanner Vanin, share a musical chemistry that can only be described as ‘trill’. The influences of The Strokes, Dominic Fike, and Weezer can be heard in our live sounding mixes, funky guitar riffs, creative rock drums, and smooth bass lines. 
Blush
A coastal Canadian alt-indie rock band that weaves together crunchy textures, haunting electronics, and ethereal melodies. Pulling inspirations from a wide variety of Alternative, Indie, Shoegaze, and Folk music. The band was formed in late 2023 by vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter Anton Wilson, percussionist Eric Josephs, keyboardist Renata Baldwin, and bassist Rosie Said.  Blush released their debut EP “Still Wet” February 2nd of 2024 & “Blush. - Live from Silverside” on September 10th of the same year.

An alternative rock powder keg of venom, Idle Lane’s sound marries the heavy with the feeling. With double guitar attacks, robust grooves, and crunchy harmonies, their music is reminiscent of the classic rock acts of the ‘70s and ‘90s. If you haven’t heard them live, you haven’t heard them at all

The Island Hoppers Precision Skipping Team is a non-profit organization dedicated to furthering the sport of jump rope in our local communities. We have been jumping rope competitively for more than twenty-five years. Our team is comprised of a once-a-week recreational program that gets kids moving and having tonnes of fun - while learning new skills.  We also have a competitive team that trains up to four times per week.
The aim of this super fun fundraiser is to help raise money for specialized coaching, equipment, and travel expenses.
This year, our competitive team is heading to Provincials in Nelson, BC, Nationals in Saskatoon, SK, and seven of our jumpers have qualified for World’s in Kawasaki, Japan.
