Playing in 70 cities this year, coast to coast. In a market still dominated by American acts, with American TV credits, a small Canadian comedy tour has managed to succeed. Like the Tragically Hip they have done it by touring and making more and more people laugh, year after year. The tour has now performed in Australia, The US, France, and Switzerland. The tour has received numerous standing ovations.

The 72 Hour Filmmaker Showdown is a captivating competition challenging teams to shoot, edit, and produce a 3-5 minute short film within an intense 72-hour timeframe. No need for big budgets or exotic locations – we want to see your creativity shine within 100 km of Whistler, using any recording device of your choice. Open to all aspiring filmmakers, this event demands grassroots grit, originality, imagination, and exceptional storytelling. The top films will premiere at the 72 Hour Filmmaker Showdown, vying for a first-place prize of $5,000 and the coveted People’s Choice award. Applicants will be required to agree to the Terms & Conditions outlined below and required to pay a $50 entry fee.  Applications close Thursday March 27, 2025 at 12 noon. 
Filmmakers may register late by attending a mandatory meeting on Friday, March 28th at 9 am at the Mountain Club in the Westin, however, due to the popularity of the Filmmaker Showdown, we cannot guarantee registration at that time. Trail Details: The Winter Vallea Lumina pathway is a 1km forest trail with leveled gravel, rolling hills, and a staircase.
Outdoor Experience: This experience is entirely outdoors.
Café: Open with a selection of hot non-alcoholic beverages and treats (including marshmallows and s'mores!) available for purchase.

Additional Fees:

Parking: $10 per car (pre-booking mandatory)
Shuttle: $10 per person (pre-booking mandatory)

Experience Overview:

The Winter Vallea Lumina pathway takes 30 to 45 minutes to complete, depending on each visitor. Plan for about 1 hour to fully enjoy the experience.
Advance Booking: Highly recommended due to the popularity of our show times.
Arrival: Please arrive at the showtime listed on your ticket. Have your confirmation email and tickets ready for scanning.

What to Bring:

A sense of wonder!
Dress for the Weather: Winter jackets, pants, gloves, and toques are recommended. Closed-toe winter boots or shoes with soles suitable for snow and ice are highly recommended. High-heeled shoes or boots are not advised.

Notes & Restrictions:

Adult Supervision: At least one adult aged 19 or older is required for guests 15 years old or under.
Weather: Tours run in all weather. Dress appropriately for winter conditions.
Mobility: Paths are not recommended for people with reduced mobility. Baby carriers are recommended for young children. No umbrellas or flash photography allowed to ensure all guests can enjoy the full experience without disruption.

Cancellation Policy:

Non-Refundable: Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. If the show cannot operate due to severe weather or technical difficulties, tickets will be refunded automatically.
Late Arrivals: Allowed but may be delayed if the next showtime is sold out. No entry after the last showtime of the evening.
