Mark your calendars—The Anonymous Art Show Buying Night is back on April 4, 2025! Save the date and get your tickets early to Arts Whistler's annual fundraiser. Each participating artist's identity – established creative or an up-and-coming talent – is kept secret until you select your art.
Whether you're hunting for a masterpiece by a sought-after artist or the perfect piece to complete your space, The Anonymous Art Show is an exciting and accessible way to collect original art.
The Anonymous Art Show is Arts Whistler's annual signature fundraiser, bringing high-energy excitement to art-buying at a gala evening that raises funds for community art programs. These programs help foster Whistler's arts and culture scene by supporting the artists we love to love and providing opportunities for the community to explore their creative potential. 
More than just an art sale, Buying Night is a vibrant gala experience featuring music by Dj Foxy Moron, an indulgent spread by Picnic Whistler, pop-up bar, and a few surprises along the way. Come dressed to express—whether that’s cowboy boots or cocktail attire! Entry tickets for Buying iNight are $35 - the cost of your art choosing spot or how many you buy is up to you!

But here’s the catch—the lower the tier price you choose, the greater the risk that someone else will claim your favourite piece first! Will you play it safe or take a gamble? The choice is yours!

Surf Hat are a psych-surf group from Squamish, BC, Canada. Their debut record “Surf Hat” has gathered over a millions streams and they have established a rapidly growing fan-base across North America. The classic power-trio lineup delivers the verby, jangly surf-rock guitar style of modern bands mixed with the sweetly harmonized vocals of beloved classics. Picture Allah-lahs meeting The Ventures or The Beatles. After a year of festivals and sold club shows across BC in 2023, and fresh off an extremely successful fall 2023 tour to Ontario and Quebec, Surf Hat are looking to take their signature sound on the road for the next million years or so. Surf Hat are poised to release their sophomore album “Surf Hat Ranch” in 2024.

S.P.Y. [DARKMTTR]
Moving to London from São Paulo back in 2006, S.P.Y was quick to establish himself within the UK drum & bass scene. After six months of honing his craft, S.P.Y. was on everybody’s radar thanks to his debut release on Metalheadz, a follow up on Med School and a string of collaborations with scene veterans Marcus Intalex, Total Science, Kasra and DJ Marky. In 2009, S.P.Y. released his first solo EP on Soul:R before proving his production quality and consistency with further releases on Ram, Metalheadz, Critical, Shogun, Spearhead, Digital Soundboy and Innergroud.
S.P.Y.’s meteoric rise was always going to turn heads and led the producer to take on high profile remixes for Deadmau5, Chase & Status and LTJ Bukem before signing exclusively to leading D+B imprint Hospital Records in 2012. His debut LP, ‘What The Future Holds’ was released to critical acclaim and not only topped online sales charts, but was also awarded the coveted ‘Best Album’ at the annual 2012 Drum & Bass Arena awards. Moving into 2014, S.P.Y took us ‘Back to Basics’ with his second LP. In true S.P.Y style an abundance of outstanding tracks meant the LP was released in two parts. “Chapters 1 + 2” draws inspiration from the deeper, darker sounds of drum & bass and features collaborations with Total Science, Rene La Vice, and vocalists Diane Charlemagne, Grimm and DRS MC.
Throughout his career, S.P.Y. has continuously backed up his stellar releases with fierce skills behind the decks that delight fans and provide an educated blend of old school classics and fresh new beats. S.P.Y has a unique ability to bring his trademark underground sound to a worldwide audience with his tour diary including Australia, the United States, Canada, Russia, Asia, New Zealand and Europe as well as major festivals such as Tomorrowland, Global Gathering and Electric Daisy Carnival. His skills behinds the decks were enshrined in 2015 when S.P.Y. was asked to present his Essential Mix for Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1.
Fast forward to 2017 and S.P.Y. has truly cemented himself as the “producers producer” through his incredible ‘Alone In the Dark’ EP Trilogy. Culminating in 15 tracks of rolling drums and heavy basslines, S.P.Y. is dedicated to perfecting his craft. Through his new release he has pushed the boundaries of his underground sound and effortlessly blended it with the class and consistency of his formidable back catalogue.
With ‘Love Unlimited’ having been streamed 2 million times, ‘Hardcore Harry’ reaching No1 in the Beatport charts and receiving incredible support from BBC Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac, 2017 was a truly huge year for S.P.Y. 2018 is set to be another blinder as he kicks it off by mixing together ‘Sick Music 2018’. One of Hospitals most exciting releases to date, the Brazilian magician cemented paragon status by blending these brand new and exclusive tracks together with effortless flair – keep your eyes and ears peeled…

The 72 Hour Filmmaker Showdown is a captivating competition challenging teams to shoot, edit, and produce a 3-5 minute short film within an intense 72-hour timeframe. No need for big budgets or exotic locations – we want to see your creativity shine within 100 km of Whistler, using any recording device of your choice. Open to all aspiring filmmakers, this event demands grassroots grit, originality, imagination, and exceptional storytelling. The top films will premiere at the 72 Hour Filmmaker Showdown, vying for a first-place prize of $5,000 and the coveted People’s Choice award. 
Whistler Public Library has graciously offered access and use of their Wonder Lab during the filming window. 
Applicants will be required to agree to the Terms & Conditions outlined below and required to pay a $50 entry fee.  Applications close Thursday March 27, 2025 at 12 noon. 
Filmmakers may register late by attending a mandatory meeting on Friday, March 28th at 9 am at the Mountain Club in the Westin, however, due to the popularity of the Filmmaker Showdown, we cannot guarantee registration at that time. Space is limited and entries will be accepted based on availability only.

What better way to finish off the winter season then with the 21st edition of the Saudan Couloir Ski Race Extreme presented by Helly Hansen.
The extreme race of legend and lore, it will bring out legends of ski and snowboard racing, big mountain pros, and a healthy dose of amateur skiers and snowboarders who aren’t afraid to charge.
With over 2500 Vertical Feet of Thigh Burning Hell! Quite possibly the steepest ski race in the world, this is a true test of fitness, skill, balance and courage!

We want to celebrate women here at Whistler Blackcomb, and come together for a fun filled day on the mountain! This all-inclusive day out includes complimentary coffee & snacks at check-in, a $30 lunch voucher for Glacier Creek, an exclusive race at Blackcomb Race Centre, and an Après at Merlin's Bar & Grill.

About Vallea Lumina
Whistler's iconic multimedia night walk, Vallea Lumina, invites you to experience the enchantment of a hidden valley where stardust falls from the sky, filling all living things with its pure light. Join us on this evening excursion, following a path marked by the lingering traces of two long-ago hikers in search of unexpected enchantment. Don’t miss the clues along the way!
Details

Pathway: The Vallea Lumina pathway is 1.5km of undulating, unpaved trail including over 200 steps up and down stairs.
Duration: The walk typically takes between 45-60 minutes to complete.
Showtimes: The first showtime begins at sundown. Current tour times are available online.
Booking: Advance booking is required as space is limited, with earlier showtimes selling out fastest.
Arrival: Please arrive at the showtime listed on your ticket.
Supervision: There must be at least one adult aged 19 or older with guests 15 years old or under.
Tickets: After booking, a confirmation email containing your tickets will be sent. Please have your tickets ready to be scanned at check-in.
Email Tips: Sometimes confirmation emails end up in the junk folder, so please check there if you do not receive your tickets.

Mobility

This experience takes place on a partially leveled gravel trail network and is not paved.
The path is not recommended for guests with reduced mobility due to several staircases with over 200 steps.
For little ones, using a baby carrier is recommended. Strollers, including off-road/sports models, are not permitted due to the number of stairs.
Benches are available throughout the experience for resting and relaxing.

A Sense of Wonder!
Camera: Cameras are welcome, but please ensure the flash is turned off.
Rain Jackets or Rain Ponchos: Umbrellas are not permitted to avoid blocking the view of other guests.
Dress for the Weather: Tours run rain or shine. It can be chillier in the evening, so please dress accordingly. Close-toed shoes or strapped sandals that are comfortable and suitable for uneven terrain are highly recommended. Please do not wear high-heeled shoes.

Celebrate World Ski and Snowboard Festival with us by joining in for a hatha yoga class for a good cause!
Unwind and recover after a day on the slopes with a hatha yoga class geared toward skiers and snowboarders. This session targets tight muscles, improves flexibility, and eases tension in the hips, legs, and shoulders. Enjoy gentle stretches, deep breathing, and soothing asana (poses) designed to speed up recovery, reduce soreness, and restore balance. Perfect for all levels, this accessible class will leave you feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and ready to hit the slopes again tomorrow!
All proceeds benefit Mountain Mentors, a non-profit that provides pairings for backcountry mentorship to marginalized genders including women, trans women, non-binary, and non-gender confirming folks. Their programming seeks to energize, deepen, strengthen, and grow community both in their cohorts and the broader outdoors community. Please bring your own mat, very limited mats will be available onsite and will be on a first come, first served basis.
 
About Your Teacher:
Maeve Jones is a yoga professional with more than a decade of experience supporting many different kinds of bodies in Whistler. She’s known for both her wide knowledge of yoga and embodiment, and for her warm and peaceful transmission that touches your heart and quiets your mind. Outside of yoga, Maeve is a talk therapist, bird-watcher, aerialist, climber, and sympathetic human.

Trail Details: The Winter Vallea Lumina pathway is a 1km forest trail with leveled gravel, rolling hills, and a staircase.
Outdoor Experience: This experience is entirely outdoors.
Café: Open with a selection of hot non-alcoholic beverages and treats (including marshmallows and s'mores!) available for purchase.

The Winter Vallea Lumina pathway takes 30 to 45 minutes to complete, depending on each visitor. Plan for about 1 hour to fully enjoy the experience.

Weather: Tours run in all weather. Dress appropriately for winter conditions.
Mobility: Paths are not recommended for people with reduced mobility. Baby carriers are recommended for young children. No umbrellas or flash photography allowed to ensure all guests can enjoy the full experience without disruption.

Cancellation Policy:

Non-Refundable: Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. If the show cannot operate due to severe weather or technical difficulties, tickets will be refunded automatically.
Late Arrivals: Allowed but may be delayed if the next showtime is sold out. No entry after the last showtime of the evening.
